1. Walk the Malecón

The Malecón is the main boardwalk of Puerto Vallarta, one could say that it is the most tourist area of the city. Here you will find several handicraft stalls, especially wixarika -huichol art-, several restaurants of typical food of the region as well as places where they serve international food.

You can take pictures at the different sculptures that line the Malecón, you will see artists creating sand sculptures! Do not forget to take a funny picture with the “human statues of sand”.

2. Spend an afternoon at Playa Los Muertos

It is the busiest beach, and for good reason, because it is one of the most beautiful in the port, it is known for the famous seahorse sculpture, made by the artist Rafael Zamarrita.

Here you can rent jet skis or go parasailing over the Bay of Banderas. Stay until sunset and witness how the sun paints the sky in red and orange tones, with the colors reflected in the ocean just adding to the nightly dramatic natural show.
