Coco Tropical’s fine dining menu features international cuisine with a Mediterranean flair, such as a delicious Ossubuco, Strudel Florentina and authentic risotto, as well as popular seafood dishes like coconut shrimp and Pacific Lobster Bisque – all freshly prepared by skilled chefs.

One of the founding members of the Puerto Vallarta Gourmet Festival, owner Heinz E. Reize is an accredited Swiss Chef who brings his culinary talents to this elegant beachside bistro. His career took him from Switzerland to Germany, Holland, Canada, the US, Curaçao and finally, to Mexico.

Smitten with the charm, people and scenery, Mr. Reize decided to settle down in Puerto Vallarta. After spending a few years as the General Director of the Krystal Vallarta Hotel, Heinz and renowned Vallarta businessman Andrés-Famania Ortega decided to open a restaurant. As a result, Coco Tropical Restaurant & Beach Club opened its doors for the first time on August 14th, 1997.

Today, this gourmet restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is well-known for its international cuisine with a European spirit. Coco Tropical is an associate member of the “Best Specialty Restaurants Club,” is among the fine dining restaurants listed in Vallarta Lifestyles’ “Platinum Dining Guide,” and the restaurant has participated in the annual Puerto Vallarta Festival Gourmet since 1995.

With gourmet cuisine prepared with high-quality ingredients at reasonable prices – there’s no wonder that Coco Tropical is one of the most popular restaurants in Puerto Vallarta! Though it’s on the beach and the dress code is casual, beachwear is not permitted inside the restaurant. Open daily from noon to 11:30 pm. Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are accepted.
